Are you investing in renewable energy sources, such as wind energy, solar energy and geothermal energy? Do you have a solution for flexibilisation of the energy system? Then you are invited to apply for a subsidy on pilot projects and demonstration projects within the DEI+ scheme.
Applications can be handed in with RVO in the period 18-01-2021 up to 07-01-2022.
The DEI+ focusses on the following 7 themes:
4.1 Energy Efficiency
4.2 Renewable Energy production (including spatial integration)
4.3 Flexibilisation of the energy system, among which hydrogen (pilots only)
4.4 Local infrastructure
4.5 Circular economy (only projects with a subsidy of € 3 mln. and higher)
4.6 CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage, pilots only)
4.7 Homes, buildings and residential areas free of natural gas
4.8 Other CO2 reduction methods
Specifically for offshore wind there are some interesting themes included. For example:
4.2 Renewable energy production including spatial integration (Articles 25 and 41 GDPR)
This includes themes like spatial and environmental integration, multi-use of space and enhancement of safety in installation and operation of wind farms at sea;
4.3 Flexibility of the energy system, including hydrogen (pilots only, Article 25 GDPR)
This includes stimulation of (large scale) energy storage and conversion of renewable energy, also at sea.
Within these themes for renewable energy, you can apply for a subsidy for offshore wind project investments. All projects have to be finished within a period of 4 years. In a pilot project, you can test and improve a new technology in a representative test set-up. In a demonstration project, you invest in a production installation that remains in use even after the subsidy project has ended. The projects must be innovative.
