Renewable Energy Scheme

 

Description

The Hernieuwbare Energieregeling (Renewable Energy Scheme) offers grants for the theme ‘Cost Reduction and Optimisation’. The aims are:

  • Projects must aim to reduce the costs of offshore wind energy by 2030. This includes topics such as support structures, wind turbines and wind farms, the internal electrical network and connection to the high-voltage network, transport, installation and logistics, and operation and maintenance. In addition, this program is open for other energy technologies.
  • The project must lead to renewable energy production in 2030 and it must lead to cost reductions during construction or operation of the wind farms that will be developed in the Netherlands.

The program is targeted at TRL 6 to TRL 8 projects, but projects at TRL 4 or TRL 5 may also apply for the subsidy.
