In close consultation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Rijkswaterstaat we will work according to the co-location model. This co-location model is based on completely contractually separated demonstration locations within the allocated areas for wind energy. Meanwhile, Minister Kamp pledged that an Innovation Site will be located within the area designated for the second tender round in Borssele (Site V).
Size and location
This innovation site can accommodate up to 2 wind turbines with a combined maximum power of 20MW. This(These) turbine(s) will be connected with one 66kV cable to the TenneT’s platform. The area of the Innovation Site has been kept to a minimum, in order to maximise the space for the commercial projects.
The TKI Wind op Zee is working together with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) on the arrangement for issue of the site in 2017.
Details about the Innovation Site and the location can be found in the Project and Site Description.
The next step for the innovation site is the tender (closure in 2017).
Details about the set-up of the tender for the Innovation Site can be found in this presentation.
