Mammoet challenges innovators to find a solution for transferring and lifting components
With floating wind farms being the new kid on the block new questions arise. For example, how are we going to maintain these novel constructions? In addition, conventional wind turbines are getting bigger and are being built in large quantities. Therefore, the intensity and complexity of maintenance are going to increase. For this reason, Mammoet and Offshore Wind Innovators, in close cooperation with TKI Wind op Zee, are launching the 5th Offshore Wind Innovation Challenge.
The Innovation Challenge will focus on finding new solutions for the positioning, transferring, and lifting of wind turbine components that are needed to facilitate the replacement of turbine components in a better and more cost-efficient manner. The use of large (floating) installation vessels should be prevented and therefore we are looking to possible solutions to overcome this.
Are you an innovator that can help with finding solutions?
