The jury declared Elestor the winner of the Offshore Wind Innovators Jury Award 2022.

In the heart of Middelburg and the Zeeland delta stands the brand new Joint Research Center Zeeland (JRCZ). On Thursday, December 15, 2022, the joint research laboratory of Zeeland's MBO, HBO and WO was officially opened after a construction period of more than two years.

Three innovative parties will compete for the Offshore Wind Innovators Award 2022 on January 25. The jury has nominated FLASC, TechBinder and Elestor for the jury and the audience award. The jury believes that these three parties make the strongest contribution to the issues of the offshore energy transition on all criteria.

The € 20.4 million allocated by The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (NEA) in MOOI subsidies for electricity support the spearheads for the energy transition in the North Sea.

In the Mission-driven Innovation Program 1 (MMIP 1) the innovation goals are laid out that will lead to enabling the required scale-up for offshore renewable energy. The offshore energy industry and market evolve quickly; the last MMIP 1 report originates from 2019, and a new and recalibrated version was needed.

Hydrogen will become an essential element for making industry, transport and a balanced sustainable energy system more sustainable. This clean energy carrier can and will also be produced close to renewable energy sources at sea to enable further roll-out of offshore wind after 2030 and integration into the energy system.
