De European Maritime Day (EMD) Conference is a yearly 2-day event bringing together the European maritime community to network, discuss and forge joint action in the field of maritime and sustainable blue economy. This year it is a combined online/hybrid event.
EMD provides an interactive experience to bring up the current state of play on a wide variety of issues related to the blue economy and the marine environment and discuss ways to move forward. It features a large number of speakers, multiple breakout and project pitch sessions hosted by stakeholders and European Commission services, as well as hundreds of B2B meetings. EMD focuses on professionals from companies, governments, government agencies, NGOs and academia. The conference is organized in collaboration with the municipality of Den Helder, the province of Noord-Holland and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The North Sea CoP is also participating in this, in particular for the Blueinvest Roundtable.
